Aeolian harp

Wedding harpist in Venice

Sweet and skillful hands bear the marvelous notes of the harp. But that's not the only way to generate sound! In fact, it is possible to use harps as aeolian harps, whereby it is the wind's force that meets the strings which then generate sound.
My celtic harp Silmaril has been used as an aeolian harp in Brittany, and on this page you can find three audio files with "music by the Breton wind".
Enjoy yourself while listening!
In the picture you can see the harp maker Frank Sievert while recording the music in the wind with my Silmaril.
